Wednesdays Fourball saw Dave Linehan and John Dineen taking the Nett while Mick Lehane and P j Curtin took the Gross. Saturday Rick O’Mahony and Catherine O’Keeffe took the Nett on the Back 9 from John (Loaded) Curtin and George (Magnificent) Bolton while P J Curtin was again back with Mick Healy for the Gross having taken a 5 and 6 respectively on the same numbered holes. Sun Morning Catherine O’Keeffe and Josie Twomey who were getting in practice for the upcoming Scratch Cup took the Nett with a super 37.5 while John (Loaded) Curtin paired with another Senior player Bart Milliard won the Gross leaving 2nd Nett to Dan Shine and Margaret Bowen.Sunday evening saw John Curtin back in the winners enclosure with Eileen Murphy with a super 37/5 Nett.. Pat Moore having played over 90 holes without a dike stopped the rot this morning and is back in form taking the gross with Betty White who played very consistent and pipped Tim Murphy and Gretchen Ahern with both Tim and Pat getting holes in one.
The Open is underway since Tuesday 20th with the Full Championship course in play offering a challenge to all. The Scratch Cup is on Saturday 24th and I believe that the Cork Selectors will be picking the Inter County Teams based on performance., The Captains Prize is scheduled to begin on Thursday 29th June with the Captains Bar-B-Q starting at 8.00 pm on Friday 30th in the Bar.
