Noel McCarthy is really hitting form this weather increasing his winning streak to take Nett with Mary O’Donovan on Wednesday and he was back, partnering Pat Conway on Saturday afternoon, in the winners enclosure with a magnificent score of 55 points while John Dineen and Gretchen Ahern took the gross on Wednesday the bould P J was back in form on Saturday with Eileen Murphy a dangerous combination at the best of times to take the Gross.The greens were recently needle thinned making the putting a little more difficult but with all of the recent rain should be perfect for the Open and the Scratch Cup staring on Tuesday 20th June.
Sunday morning brought a mixture of sun and rain but it made no difference to John Curtin and Bart Millard who ran away with the Nett while Eileen Murphy, who has struck consistent form in the past few weeks, since she landed the hole in one prize in March, took the Gross with Mick Lehane
Rounding off the weekend Pat Conway and Sheila O’Leary showed their skills by taking the Nett with a super 52 points which included Sheila’s hole in one and after a complete recount Pat O’Keeffe and John Dineen took the Gross with Catherine taking control of the finances.
The Captains Prize which was due to be played this week was rescheduled to Thursday 29th June with the Captains Night on Saturday 1st July in the Lakewood Bar.
Normal Fourballs resume this week with the course open to Green Fees and Membership is still available.
