The 3 pm Fourball Wed had a nice turnout due to the fine weather. Catherine O’Keefe went home very pleased with herself after her sterling performance with a little help from Mrs Curtin’s boy John winning the nett while the “Pres” Dave Linehan took the gross with Eileen Murphy which was a mighty achievement considering some of the big guns were out on the day. Saturday saw P J Curtin back in the winner’s enclosure, he was pitching some magnificent balls but didn’t get a chance to finish out as his partner Sheila O’Leary was in top form putting and chipping in from all angles to gross 9 under which sealed the gross. John O’Sullivan took second Nett with Mary O’Donovan with an impressive 8 under to nett at 39.5.
Congratulations to the Fermoy “B” Intermediate Team who aced the Lakewood Team in the County Leagues which was held in Collins Sunday morning under shocking conditions but they ran out worthy winners with some very close fought contests. Next Sunday the team are meeting St Anne’s “A” at Rocklodge and are hoping for a better result.
The Sunday afternoon competition was very kind to the O’Keeffe’s with Catherine going home with the Nett assisted by Gretchen Ahern and Pat Moore while hubby Pat took the Gross with Pat Conway and Tim Linehan.
