Wednesday saw the return of the bronzed Mick Healy who topped up his tan while the snow was in Ireland he was sipping cocktails and lazing in the sun in the Canaries and true to form took home the nett with Frank Riordan while the two retired ESB men Noel Mac and Paddy Dennehy supplemented their pension with the gross winnings. Saturday Frank Riordan was back in the winners enclosure and brought P J Curtin with him to again take the nett while Pat Moore and John Ahern won gross. Rumour has it that Catherine and Mary were 5 under after 8 holes but Catherine burnt herself out punching the air and Mary is still climatising.
Sunday morning John Ahern and John Dineen were the Nett winners while Tim Linehan and Bart Millard took the gross. Sunday afternoon was a practice run for the County Board Scramble in April with Pat O’Keeffe, John Dineen and Rick O’ Mahony displaying their playing skills to take the overall pot while the rest went home with plenty of fresh air and some cardio workout.
Normal fourballs on Paddy’s weekend with the addition of Monday at 11 am and 3 pm for the keep fit fanatics. Hopefully the weather will be good and the playing enjoyable.
The course will be open to Green Fees shortly but for better value for money Club Membership is a better option, Family Membership available and Juvenile Membership is now due for renewal.
