Monday was a day that the options were to stay at home or take a chance on the weather and thankfully there were some like minded fruitcakes that came out in the morning and got a good wetting but Dan Shine anchoring both Margaret Bowen and Josie Twomey had an impressive score taking the Nett with Josie whose dike on the back nine made the difference while Pat Moore and Bart Millard won the gross with a little help from the Club Coach John Ahern who corrected Pat’s putting earlier on in the round.
Monday night finished off the weekend with the Noel McCarthy and Mary O’Donovan taking the Nett with John Dineen and Gretchen Ahern winning the Gross.
Captains Prize is starting on Thursday with Stableford the designated choice and on Friday night the Captains are hosting the Annual Bar-B-Q in the Lakewood Bar starting at 8.00pm.
