Saturday saw the return of Summer, if only for a short period but it brought out the Fairweather Brigade including yours truly. With the even numbers the game was a three ball scramble and there was some high scoring. Taking the nett with 13 under and 33 nett saw Alan Kenneally, Eileen Murphy and Pat Moore entering the winners enclosure. Mark Spillane, Rick O’Mahony and William Fitton.
Sunday Morning another very good turnout which saw Rob Spillane and Frank Riordan, back from the Sunand sporting a fine tan, taking the nett with 7 under and 40 nett.Ted Canty was very pleased with Bart Millard and his performance to take the gross with 6 under. William Fitton and Geraldine Spillane pipped Mark Spillane and Kevin Crowley on the back nine to take 2nd nett with 40 and a half but with the large turnout they took 2nd gross with 5 under.The course is closing to Green Fees to allow it to recover after the Summer. The Club expresses Thanks to all who played and supported the upkeep of the course. Membership for 2024 is now open, forms are available in the clubhouse or through the website.
Normal fourballs next weekend., Ladies Outing on Saturday the 21st October and the Club AGM for 2023 is set for Nov 14th
