Saturday saw a large turnout for the 2 Ball Scramble which produced sme superb scoring with Liam O;Farrell and Paul O’Sullivan from the Majestic taking the overall nett with a score of 13 under and a nett of 33 and a half. Conor O’Mahony and Colm O’Donnell from the Ranges had a magnificent 14 under to win the overall gross. Lakewood’s duo of Pat & Catherine O’Keeffe with 8 under and 34 and a half nett took second nett beating Sean O’Brien from St Annes and Benny McCarthy on the back nine on handicap but Sean and Benny took home second gross with 13 under.Sunday with the sun shining and some heavy rain overnight , specially ordered to give the greens a good soaking, saw another large turnout and again for the Scotch Fourball some great scoring. Conor and Colm were back in the Winner’s Circle taking the nett with 10 under and a nett of 41 while Eddie Hogan and Des Crowley from St Stephens took the Overall Gross with 8 under and Eddie also took Second Gross with Darren Temple also on 8 under winning on the back nine from Pat Twomey and Rick O’Mahony, Lakewood.
