Another weekend with forecasts of rain and winds but thankfully that did not apply to Lakewood where Mediterranean temperatures prevailed. Saturday and Sunday morning saw very good turnouts but Sunday evening saw only a handful turning out. Some super scoring with some very good combinations, Tim Linehan and Alison Harvey had a great score with 36 and a half, a number of 7 and 8 under, quite a large scores under the 40 nett but with 33 and a half Mick O’Leary with 10 under took the overall nett with Josie Twomey. Valerie O’Leary and John Dineen had a great score also with 10 under but Alan Kenneally and Mark Spillane with 11 under took the overall gross. Next week the competition enters the third week with Stapleford the order of the day. The Club’s AGM will be held on Tuesday the 14th Nov at 8pm sharp in the Clubhouse. Membership for 2024 now available. Course is close to Green Fees.
