Saturday saw the return of summer with the sun shining in the sky and some high temperatures recorded. This brought out a large crowd with some interesting combinations. Josie Twomey drew Rick O’Mahony and took the overall nett with a score of 40 and a half pipping Alan Kenneally and John Curtin on the back nine also on 40 and a half, who had to settle for second nett. Lily O’Leary was in good form and with Noel Mac took the overall gross with 6 under. Noel was back again on Sunday morning and was again in the winners enclosure this time with Bart Millard. and again with 6 under to take the overall gross. Pat Conway and Catherine O’Keeffe with 2 under took the nett with 39 and a half while Betty White took the second nett with Paddy Dennehy with 3 under and 40 and a half nett. Normal Fourballs next weekend and the course is open to Green Fees.
