The weekend saw the end of Spring and the beginning of Summer going and coming with the best weather that we have seen in a May weekend with years. The shining Sun brought out a good crowd on Saturday which saw Helen O’Callaghan taking the nett with Alan Kenneally on a nett of 38 while Billy Fitton was there for the Gross with Alan as anchor on a score of 6 under.. Frank Riordan and Kevin Crowley took second nett with 42 nett.
Sunday Morning, Catherine O’Keeffe and Noel Mac gelled well to take the overall nett with 41 while Bart Millard and John Ahern were the gross winners on 2 under while Margaret Burke and Tim Murphy took second nett with 43. Monday Mary O’Donovan was seen back with Jeepers and John Dineen was thrilled that he was drawn with her as they took the nett with 11 up while Rick O’Mahony and Kevin Crowley took the gross with 4 up beating Bart Millard and Pat Moore on the back nine. However all was not lost as Bart and Pat had done enough to take the second nett with 9 up. Normal fourballs next weekend, course open to paying green fees. Limited Membership available.
