Wednesday the high handicappers were back in form with Deirdre O’Sullivan partnering Mary O’Donovan taking the nett with 1 under to nett at 38 beating Catherine O’Keeffe and Josie Twomey by a half a shot on the back nine while the inform Rick O’Mahony and Pat O’Keeffe took the gross with 8 under Saturday Paddy Dennehy and Darren O’Leary took home the nett while John Dineen and Val O’Leary were the gross winners leaving second nett to Deirdre O’Sullivan and JP Murphy. Deirdre and Mary were back on Sunday morning with different partners , Deirdre with Rick O’Mahony taking the nett on 37 while Mary had to settle for 2nd nett with PJ Curtin on 38 with Bart Millard and Dermot Murphy on 7 gross taking the gross. Sunday evening Mary got to play with Rick O’Mahony in a three ball with Pat O’Keeffe which gave her the odds on favourite leaving the clubhouse and coming home with a 95 gross to take the nett with 76 while PJ had the pleasure of Betty White and John Dineen’s company to take the gross with 7 under. Normal Fourballs next week and the President’s prize the week after. Course open to green fees and membership still available.
