The long layoff did not seem to affect Noel McCarthy which was evidenced with his 4 under that secured Margaret Bowen and himself the nett on the first day of play for the Christmas period. JP Murphy is now officially the course expert having inspected the full course on a daily basis over the 6 week lockdown took the gross with Paddy Dennehy.

Saturday 6th December the combo of Mary O’Donovan and her favourite partner, John Dineen took the honours on the Saturday  for the gross with 3 under while Catherine O’Keeffe and Sheila O’Leary were the nett winners.

Sunday morning Mary and John were again together with Tim Linehan and took the gross with 5 under while Betty White had to use her Management Expertise to get the best result from Billy Fitton and PJ Curtin to take the nett.

Saturday 12th December  saw the best day since the reopening with Billy Fitton turning in one of his best scores this year and took the nett with Alison Harvey who made a return after a long absence while Pat O’Keeffe and Rick O’Mahony combined to take the gross with 4 under leaving the Curtin Boys, John and PJ to take home second nett.

Both of Mrs Curtin’s Boys were again in the Winners enclosure on Sunday Morning with PJ partnering Pat Moore   and taking the gross on the back nine from Billy Fitton and Val O’Leary, while the elder Lemon John encouraged the Gents incoming Captain to dig deep and produce a magnificent 6 under to win the nett.
