Wednesday saw the Club travel to Inniscarra for the annual visit, the bit of craic, the cuppa and the nice treats that the Inniscarra Ladies serve up and as an afterthought the game. Rumour has it that Dave Linehan travelled over but didn’t make it out of the clubhouse. Gentleman John was casting his eye over the course and mentally planning what changes he would like to put in place as he is severely curtailed in Lakewood. The Sunday night threeball saw Paddy Dennehy and Pat O’Keeffe putting in a sterling performance to make sure that the Birthday Boy J P Murphy went home with some extra cash in his back pocket. Sheila O’Leary, Mary O’Donovan and Tim Murphy took the gross with the best back nine out of three cards on 115 where three scores counted on selected holes.
