Sunday morning saw Catherine O’Keeffe helping JP Murphy to take the second nett while the inform Betty White took the gross with Mick Lehane in the morning and also took the nett on Sunday evening with Noel McCarthy scoring 11 up. PJ Curtin and Paddy Dennehy were the nett winners on Sunday morning while Billy Fitton and Gretchen Ahern went home with the gross on Sunday evening with 3 up beating Pat Moore and Pat Conway on the back nine.
Tuesday saw the start of the singles competition in the open while the Scratch Cup is on Saturday with Fourballs the order of the day on Sunday. The course is very challenging at present and the dry spell of late has made the greens very tricky and lightening fast but like the song says someone somewhere will rise to the occasion and bring in a score.
