Frank Riordan is the man on fire this week winning nett with George Magnificent Bolton on Wednesday and with Paddy Dennehy on Sunday morning. Frank inspired George to a higher level to the extent that George surpassed himself by scoring a hole in one on the 16 putting him into the monthly draw. P J was also in form taking the gross on Wednesday with Val O’Leary and the nett with Mary O’Donovan on Saturday while Noel Mac and Gentleman John took the gross with 5 under. Sunday morning saw the return of Bart Millard after a short sabbatical and once again he dominated the course taking the gross on Sunday morning with Shelia O’Leary scoring a very respectable 44 points.J P Murphy is also back in form and acting as tour guide showed John Dineen around the course as John Ahern is resting the Championship course for the open commencing on Tuesday the 19th June.. The course is in magnificent condition thanks to the course team lead by Frank including, John A, Gentleman John, Paddy D, Eugene and the Members who occasionally help out when needed. Sunday night saw Gentleman John back in the winners enclosure with Val O’Leary while Paddy Dennehy and Mary Murphy had to settle for second nett and also leaving the gross to Noel Mac and Catherine O’Keeffe who beat them on the back nine. Franks trip to the circus paid off with the trick shot on the seventh similar to Gareth Bale in the Champions League when he overshot the green and boxed himself into the hedge but with a back flip chip to the green and a putt to the hole scored a magnificent par with two scores to count.
