The Christmas Fayre is in full swing and Billy Fitton was on fire on Wed last taking the Nett with Noel McCarthy 371/2 Nett and the Gross 8 under with George Bolton. The Turkey Vouchers are entering the final week with Strokeplay on the Agenda. Gretchen Ahern has joined the list of winners with an impressive 10 up on Saturday with Pat Moore while P J was back again with the Gross at 6 under partnering Mick Lehane. Its all to play for and strokeplay should provide an opportunity to anyone who hasn’t won yet. Paddy Dennehy was very impressive on Sunday putting and chipping from all angles but was caught on the last hole as he had to carry out a preliminary inspection of the 5th Green while playing the 6th.
John Dineen nominated Josie Twomey for a Bushtucker Trial on Saturday after the number of near misses which proves that you need a little lady luck along with a great deal of skill.Frank was looking for the dimmer switch on Sunday afternoon for the very low sun which was blinding and when he hit the wires on the 16th for the 3 rd time suggested that the ESB be contacted to move the pylon.
