Ted Canty is hitting form this weather with three in a row winning the Nett on Wednesday with Noel McCarthy. Both are worth the odd brown envelope under the counter as Noel also finds his way into the enclosure on a regular basis. Another good pairing Paddy Dennehy and John Dineen took the Gross. Rumor has it that the Curtin Boys are paired together a lot lately which is affecting their performance.
Paddy’s Day wasn’t a lucky day for any of the Pat’s as Billy Fitton took the nett with Eileen Murphy while Betty White won the gross with John Dineen. Sat the Senior Curtin was in cracking form and helped Noel McCarthy cover his expenses from Macroom with the nett prize while Pat Conway and John Dineen took nett. Paddy Dennehy and Mary O’Donovan took second nett.
Sunday evening was good to the O’Keeffe’s as Catherine won the gross with Eileen Murphy while hubby Pat went home with the Nett playing with Paddy Dennehy in a Scotch Fourball.
The Intermediate’s winning streak came to a finish on Sunday when they were beaten by Collins who took all of the points when Trevor from Collins had a great chip in to win the game from P J Curtin at the 3rd tie hole. Collins match against Fermoy B on Sunday next should be a challenging game for both sides while Lakewood meet Douglas at St Anne’s for their final game of the series. Fourballs resume next week as normal.
