Last week we said goodbye to Alan Kelly who passed on to meet up with his twin brother Barry and other Brother Terry for an August weekend fourball in the heavens. Alan was very well known in Pitch and Putt Circles with great fondness. His easy going manner endeared him to all who came in contact with him. We were proud and honoured to have him as one of our members. It was a pleasure to watch him pitch, he made it look so easy, his natural swing and rhythm guaranteed a ball on the green and his smooth putting put him there with the best. Alan’s health wasn’t the best but he never let it get the better of him, he fought tough battles over the years but through it all he was always in good humour, a cheeky smile that would put one in good humour no matter what. Alan was one of life’s true Gentlemen, Sleep tight Alan, Rest in Peace
