Wednesday Night Billy Fitton and Pat O’Keeffe with 5 holes up in the bag succumbed to the pressure when Pat Twomey pulled out all stops and reverted to his previous form from the Senior Ranks and put ball after ball on the green which Gretchen Ahern putted to send herself and Pat into the Semi-Final against Mick O’Leary and Mark Spillane.
On Thursday night Betty White and Geraldine Spillane put up a brave defence against Rob Spillane and Kevin Crowley but the two lads were in super form and made it through to the Semi-Final. the other quarter final went right down to the last hole but with one up and Franks ball on the Green for a half saw Frank Riordan and Tim Linehan earn their place in the Semi-Final aginst Rob and Kevin. Michael Ryan and Pat Moore were trailing for most of the 36 holes and never got off the mark and conceded on the 36th hole.
