There was a mighty turnout last Wednesday Night with the visitors rom Rocklodge Pitch & Putt Club outnumbering the Host Club. There was some great scoring with the netts going down to handicaps, There were a number of 5 unde which featured in the prizes for 3rd, 4th & 5th Nett and Gross The overall Nett saw Michael Ryan and Dean Dunphy taking the overall nett with 11 under and 33 nett while John Ahern and TJ O’Riordain took the overall gross with 8 under.S unday morning saw another large turnout which saw John Curtin and Mick O’Leary take the nett with 52 points. Bart Millard and Michael Ryan were the gross winners with 482 points gross. Sheila O’Leary took second nett with Josie Twomey on 49 points and Alan Kenneally took second gross with Billy Fitton with 41 points gross.
Last Night saw the continuance of the Club Team Matchplay where a number of Teams progressed into the quarter final. Mick O’Leary and Mark Spillane were too strong for Alan Kenneally and John Spillane. Alan and John saw off the challenge to Valerie O’Leary and Deirdre O’Sullivan on Monday night. Frank Riordan and Tim Linehan moved onto the next round beating Catherine O’Keeffe and Paddy Dennehy while Michael Ryan and Pat Moore also advanced after a tough match with Rick O’Mahony and Pat Conway.
