Congratulations to all the winners of the Single’s competition in the Lakewood Open, Some great scoring mostly done yesterday in the Glorious Sunshine. 4 Cards returned a nett score of 86 but Noel Molloy from Bishopstown was the one with the best back 18 and the Overall Winner. Conor O’Mahony from the Ranges after his recent success winning the scratch cup in the Ranges took the overall Gross with a superb 18 under.
Pat Murphy, Rocklodge was the winner of the Senior Nett, Niall Enright, Lakewood had an 86 to take the Intermediate Nett while his playing partner , John Healy took the Intermediate Gross with 12 under. Dean Dunphy from Rocklodge pipped Anthony Forde from Rafeen on the Back 12 also with an 86 nett to take the Junior Nett while Kevin Crowley from Lakewood took the Junior Gross with 107
Valerie O’Leary gave a magnificent display to take the Ladies Overall Nett with 90 while Mary Murray, Rocklodge won the Overall Ladies Gross with 4 under. Gretchen Ahern, Lakewood took the Ladies 0-10 nett on the Back 18 while Pat Conway took the Ladies 0-10 Gross. Deirdre O’Sullivan, Lakewood with a score of 94 took the Ladies 11+ Nett and Eileen Murphy was the Gross winner.
Thanks to all who played, pity about the rain today but on the plus side, the greens are nicely watered for the weekend fourballs starting with the two ball scramble in the morning and the Scotch Fourball on Sunday
