Saturday saw a fine turnout for the Club Presidents invitation to the Clubs on the Complex to play as part of the 50th Celebration Programme of events. Con and Sandy from the Badminton along with Peter from the Tennis and Rachel from the Soccer were among those from the affiliated clubs to be seen enjoying themselves on the course. unfortunately the Organiser and Prizegiver was unable to make it due to circumstances beyond his control and best wishes are extended to him on a speedy recovery and we hope to see him back on the course sooner rather than later. Sunday back to normal fourballs saw a good turnout and a profitable morning for Paddy Dennehy and Michael Ryan who took the nett with a great score of 37 nett while Bart Millard took the Gross with Eileen Murphy with a superb 7 under Monday saw another good turnout even with the heavy mist and the dark skies but the inform Michael Ryan was back in the winners enclosure along with Noel Mac and Billy Fitton with a magnificent score of 12 under and a nett of 80 and two thirds. Bart Millard was also in the winners along with Mary Murphy and Alan Kenneally taking the gross with 10 under. Next weekend sees the first of the Major Club Competitions with the Club Stroke on Sunday. This is an opportunity for new members to cement their handicap by returning two cards for the competition. New Members are most welcome and the course is open to paying green fees.
