A Beautiful weekend, dry but cold, however there was a large turnout on Saturday which saw Catherine O’Keeffe and Micky Ryan in the winners enclosure for the overall nett with 38 while Rick O’Mahony and Noel McCarthy took the gross with 7 under beating Niall Enright and John Dineen on the back nine but it was good enough to win the second gross. Betty White and Gentleman John were second nett winners with 41.Sunday Morning a Scotch Foursome was the game in response to a number of requests which is a different game entirely. However the banter was good with discussions ranging from Massages, Parlours, Therapy Clinics to Religion all to distract from the socketing, fluffed chips and missed putts. No matter how bad the play is with this game anything is possible and with 2 under and a nett of 48 Alan Kenneally and John Dineen took the honours for the nett while Micky Ryan and Mary O’Donovan took the gross with 3 over. Noel Mac made sure that Catherine O’Keeffe’s was back in the money taking second nett with a score of 50. Sunday afternoon Paddy Dennehy was on fire pitching and holding greens which are rock hard at the moment and swept Pat Conway onto the Winners Podium taking the nett with 4 under and a nett of 40.5 Normal fourballs next weekend and new Members are most welcome.
