Saturday the diehards showed up and as the numbers worked out the game was three-ball with 2 scores to count. The Curtin Boys and Paddy Dennehy with 6 under and 20 coming off thought they had it sewn up with a nett of 82 but Billy Fitton. Kevin Crowley and Mary O’Donovan pipped them by a third of a shot with 81.3. Betty White and John Dineen along with Micky Ryan took the gross with 7 under. Sunday Morning and with the Saturday practice the Curtin Boys were determined to get on the winner’s box and John Curtin drawing the inform Paddy Dennehy made sure of the nett with a magnificent score of 36,5, 5b under par. took the nett while PJ ably assisted by Tim Linehan took the gross. Betty White was back again and won second nett with Colm Healy. Next weekend sees the commencement of the Christmas competitions and the AGM is scheduled for Friday the 11th of Nov.
