Saturday Afternoon a fine turnout which saw the return of Josie Twomey after her brief sabbatical entering the winners enclosure with the inform Frank Riordan with 40 nett while John Dineen spurred PJ Curtin into action and they took the gross with 4 under beating Mick O’Leary and Kevin Crowley on the back nine while John Curtin and Tony Burke took second nett with 42 and Mick and Kevin got second gross.
Sunday Morning saw a large even number turn up which allowed for three-balls with two scores counting. JP Murphy under severe threat from Pat Moore that he was losing his title as course expert performed and was up to the task and led the team to victory with great assistance from Micky Ryan and Pat Moore and took the nett with 85 beating Pat Conway , Bart Millard and Billy Fitton on the back nine but with 11 under Pat, Bart and Billy took home the gross prize.
Normal Fourball next weekend but the handicap match-play commencing on Monday is wide open with a good balance in the teams. As always green fees are most welcome
