Saturday saw the adventurous darting in and out of the shelters with the mixture of sun and showers but Colm Healy and Paddy Dennehy with seven under took the nett with a fine score of 39 while Frank Riordan and Catherine O’Keeffe were the gross winners with three under and John Ahern partnering Mary O’Donovan took second nett with 43.Sunday morning Catherine was again back in the winners enclosure with Sheila O’Leary on a score of 54 points including Sheila’s hole in one on the second. Sheila was also in the frame for second nett as she anchored Helen O’Callaghan and had a score of 50 points. Colm was also back with Tony Burke and with 4 under took the gross while Bart Millard and Noel McCarthy had to settle for second gross with 3 under. Frank was heard to say “that sums up my morning and it was fitting as it applied to the rest of us. Course Open to Green Fees next week.
