Like a tale of Two Cities the weekend saw 2 different seasons on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was a beautiful sunny day which saw a large turnout, some were dressed for rain which was forecasted but again the weather people got it wrong. The course was on for a score which saw Gretchen Ahern and Deirdre O’Sullivan bring in a score of 51 points which took the nett for the weekend. Sunday morning started well but halfway through the round it started to rain, however that didn’t deter Bart Millard and Pat Moore from putting in a 6 under to take the overall gross. Bart was the anchor for Pat and John Ahern but Pat’s hole in one on the 10th was the decider. Noel Mac was playing well on Saturday but too many misses left him shy. Betty White was shooting some great Pitch and Putt however PJ Curtin was having an off day. John Dineen having won the week previous found the Senior Ranks daunting but no doubt his game will up and he will be back in the winners in due course. Gentleman John is knocking on the door and its only a matter of time until it opens. Pat Conway and Bart Millard were the hole in one winners for October with JP doing the honours for the draw. Hopefully next weekend will be good and the prizes will be shared around. The AGM is set for next Monday in the Bar at 8pm. All Members are invited but Covid Guidance must be adhered to, Mask wearing and Social Distance is in place
