There was a mixed bag of Weather over the weekend which saw the Sunday morning fourball falling by the wayside. Gentleman John made an appearance but had to call it a day as he had no support. Saturday on the other hand was magnificent with both sun and Heat and a lively turnout resulting in a second nett. Valerie O’Leary and Catherine O’Keeffe were the nett winners with 39.5 nett, the half making a big difference as there was two 40’s . Rick O’Mahony and Jill O’Sullivan on 40 took second nett while Noel Mac and John Dineen also on 40 with 8 under took the gross.
Sunday evening saw another good showing which put Valerie O’Leary and Catherine O’Keeffe back in the winners enclosure with a magnificent 34.5 nett and a gross of 8 with Valerie shooting 6 and Catherine 2 while John Dineen was also back for the gross with John Ahern who was in superb form with 7 under. Second nett went to Deirdre O’Sullivan and Betty White with 3 under and 38.5 nett including Deirdre’s hole in one on the ninth.
Normal Fourballs next weekend weather permitting, green fees are still open for the near future and the evening fourball at the earlier time of 6pm, shortly heading for 3pm.
