Wednesday Eileen Murphy was in superb form with the going so tough she led by example and brought her teammates, Paddy Dennehy and Pat O’Keeffe into the winners enclosure to take the gross while Mary O’Donovan took the nett with Rick O’Mahony and Noel McCarthy on 89.Saturday saw the outgoing favourites, Ann O’Herlihy, Pat Conway and Mary O’Donovan returning a par course card and with 28 coming off it was an impressive 80 nett that won the overall while Eileen Murphy was back with Rick O’Mahony and Tim Murphy to take the gross beating Mary Murphy, Pat Moore and Bart Millard on the back nine with a gross of 6. Sunday morning Mary was back with a new blue perch for Jeepers but the two fours on the card were costly resulting in Paddy Dennehy and Dermot Murphy taking the gross beating Young O’Leary and Tim Linehan on the back nine while Bart Millard took the nett with Margaret Bowen with a nett of 37, Bart’s five Birdies on the back nine was the decider as Margaret Bowen was anchor to Bart and Pat Conway and both had a nett of 37.Next weekend the course is closed to green fees as the prestigious Captains Prizes are scheduled with Bogey the order of the day.
