The weather forecasters were out slightly with their predictions of Showers and Heavy Rain and instead we were gifted with Sun and for the better part clear skies. JP had a 10 up on one card but failed to capitalise on it.
The Sunday Night Fourball saw the O’Leary boys, father and son shooting 12 under to take the overall nett with 35 nett while Valeries O’Leary was in the winners enclosure also with the gross prize partnering Pat Moore, Vals hole in one on the 17th was the deciding factor . Ahgain the course was in magnificent condition thanks to the efforts of the Greenkeeper Mick O’Leary, the Fairway Cutter, Pat Twomey and the three John’s who look after the Trees, hedges and First Cut while Michael painted the tee boxes. Due to the Covid restrictions the number attending the presentation was very limited but that did not take from the occasion.
The next major competition takes place in September when Gentleman John will invite all Members to play to win.
Normal Fourballs next weekend and the course is open to Green Fees
