Wednesday’s threeball was won by the combined efforts of John Ahern, Paddy Dennehy and Mary Donovan. Saturday the course was closed as a mark of respect to Joe while Sunday Morning the Gods smiled on us with some beautiful blue skies and an increased temperature which saw PJ and Margaret Bowen with 5 under, Margaret shooting three and PJ shooting four and two fours taking the nett on 37, Billy Fitton and Alan Kelly were the gross winners with 6 under leaving second nett to Frank Riordan and Dan Shine. Dan was seen heading back out the course after the results were in looking for his lost ball and having lost another last week was worried that he could be pitching on the high side. Sunday afternoon PJ was again in the winners enclosure with Gretchen Ahern for nett while the former ESB duo Noel Mac and Paddy Dennehy were the gross winners. Normal Fourballs next weekend weather permitting and with Membership open new Members are most welcome.
