Wednesday 17th saw Rick O’Mahony earning some pocket money for Gentleman John by taking the nett while Sheila O’Leary playing a superb game propelled a very reluctant JP Murphy into the winners enclosure for the gross prize. Saturday’s competition saw JP and PJ Curtin performing admirably, that’s according to the third team member George Bolton who encouraged them with words of praise after each stroke to take the nett while Darren O’Leary, Paddy Dennehy and John Dineen ran away with the gross.
Sunday morning Catherine O’Keeffe graced the course with her presence, freshly tanned from her recent sojourn and dovetailed with Mary O’Donovan to take the nett while the Captain’s prize winner PJ Curtin provided assistance to Bart Millard to take the gross prize.
Sunday evening with the light rain falling Gentleman John was again reunited with Rick O’Mahony and under the strict guidance of Mary O’Donovan made full use of his handicap to take the nett.
Normal fourballs next weekend, list for the club outing on the notice board and Green Fees are most welcome.
