Another year done and dusted, the Open is finished but the presentation is the important part where the winners are rewarded for their good play. The Club would like to thank the sponsors who supported the open, Ballincollig Credit Union, Hammond Lane, Kanturk Printers, Anne Horgan Solicitors, Cork Hygiene, William Fitton Crafted Furniture, The many Members who gave Donations, The Pitch and Putt Members that played over the week, The Greenkeeper and Fairway Cutter, the course staff for the extra time spent getting the course shipshape and last but not least the volunteers from the Club that manned the Table and Kitchen and checked the cards, thank you one and all.
The results of the over 55 Competition , Josie Twomey, Lakewood took the overall nett on the back nine from John Ahern , Lakewood ,and Jim Kelly, Ranges who had to settle for 2nd and 3rd nett respectfully. Liam O’Brien, Douglas took the gross with 12 under and second gross went to Mary Murray, Rocklodge with 102.

Alan Kelly was the overall Winner in the Gents with 16 under and 86 nett,, Tom Lynch, Collins took the Gross with 97 with the following taking the graded prizes.

Ladies 11- Cecilla O’Mahony, St Stephens was the winner with 98 while Gill O’Riordan from Inniscarra took the Gross

The Scratch Cup on Saturday saw some of the top names strutting their stuff but Liam O’Brien from Douglas was the Winner with 96- 12 under followed by John Walsh, Collins on 97, 11 under
Senior Men went to .Eoin Keating, Douglas on 100 , 8 under
Intermediate Men saw Mark Roache , Bishopstowm with 103, 5 under in the winners enclosure while Kieran O’Driscoll, Douglas was the Junior Winner.
Pat Conway, Lakewood won the Ladies prize with 108- par while Mary Murray, Rocklodge was the Runner Up

The fourballs on Sunday was a washout with the heavy rain but some were seen swimming around the course practicing for the rescheduled Ironman Competition before the course was closed and the competition was called off .There are no results yet but watch this space
