HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL: Enjoy the Festive Season, eat all you want but mind the drink and make sure that you don’t drink and drive.
Last weekend saw Frank Riordan getting some great partners and with the dovetailing on both days he was rewarded with a trip to the Winners Enclosure, not once, not twice but three times. Saturday he anchored both PJ Curtin and John Dineen which resulted in a Matchplay for both but P J’s handicap gave him the advantage to take the nett but John and Frank had a very good back nine to take the gross from JP Murphy and Pat Moore. Second nett went to Mary O’Donovan and Mick Lehane.
Club fourball every day at 2.30 for those that have some free time. Saturday and Sunday Fourball as normal, 2,30 on Sat and 10.30 on Sun with the second fourball on Sunday afternoon. Captains Day on Saturday 5th Jan at 1.00, all welcome including past members and guests. Well done to Donnie Fitton who revamped the outside of the Club House with some beautiful slate cladding and to the Sports and Social Committee for giving the go ahead and providing the funding. some great pitching but as Catherine O’Keeffe say’s you pitch for show and putt for dough which seems to sum up a lot of the but / if camp.
