Hard to believe we are nearly at the end of the Christmas Competition with one week to go and then the bottle competition. Four weeks into the Christmas Fayre and PJ Curtin was in the winners enclosure with Paddy Dennehy for the nett while John Ahern took the gross with Mick Lehane. Valerie O’Leary is a Happy Bunny this weekend bagging two vouchers , taking gross with Rick O’Mahony beating son Darren and George Bolton on the back twelve, revenge is sweet or so they say but Dinner is back on the table so there is a result. Val also won second nett with Tim Linehan with eleven up. Both dovetailed each other and there was a little bit of determination along for the fun. Tim was also in great form this week as he won the overall nett with John F Murphy with twelve up. Rumour has it that John F is taking up fortune telling as he was predicting the win on Saturday. Consultation before the 2.30 pm fourball on Saturday next for the winning lotto numbers. Betty White was a lot more relaxed over the weekend with Mary O’Donovan elected as Ladies Vice Captain and the planned trip east coming closer. Wishing Betty a safe journey and hopefully she sent the details of her trip to Santa so that he will drop off her pressies. Sheila O’Leary was back from her sojourns this week looking fit and tanned but unfortunately she will have to wait until next week to bag a voucher.
Next weekend is the last chance to win in the Christmas competition, all we need is some fine weather. The afternoon fourballs are moving to the earlier time of 2.30 until further notice.
