Monday saw the return leg of the Summer Leagues with Rocklodge visiting Lakewood, with 38 shots of an advantage it was a formality for Rocklodge however on the night Lakewood rose to the challenge and with some excellent play from Valerie Leahy, John Ahern, Pat Moore, Frank Riordan, Rick O’Mahony and Mick O’Leary(Best on the night for Lakewood) reduced the deficit but it was too little too late and Rocklodge advanced to the Final. Best wishes to both teams, it was an interesting summer and with the good weather it was enjoyable to all that participated.
Wednesday there was no fourball as the Soccer Club opened their new all weather pitch. There was a great crowd and a mighty buzz in the complex with music, speeches, a various list of activities, some great food and some good craic in the bar. Well done to all concerned for organising a great night and best wishes to the Soccer Club with its new venture.
