Wednesday saw Frank Riordan and Mick Healy returning an excellent 50 points to take the nett while Pat Conway and J P Murphy were the gross winners leaving 2nd nett to Billy Fitton and Catherine O’Keeffe. Saturday Catherine O’Keeffe was back in the winners enclosure with Gentleman John with 41.5 nett while P J Curtin and Pat Conway were the gross winners. Sunday morning Mick O’Leary, P J Curtin and John Flagman Murphy took the nett in a three ball scramble with 15 under including 2 hole in ones from PJ taking the nett with 31 and two thirds while Frank Riordan, John Dineen and Pat Moore took the gross with 13 under. JP was complaining of exhaustion from taking out and putting in the flag and said that he was dizzy from the speed of the game. Frank took the matter very seriously when he removed his wet pants on the 13th while John Dineen togged off to get a full swing at the ball and Pat Moore went back in time to his original putter. Sunday evening Pat O’Keeffe after a three week absence had a magnificent game to win the nett with Gretchen Ahern with 8 under netting in at 38 while the calming influence of John Dineen helped Billy Fitton into the winners enclosure to take the gross.
