Today saw the Birthday Boy, Mick Lehane, celebrating a big 70th Birthday with his twin brother Denis who plays in The Ranges, Mick was in shooting form scoring 5 under including a hole in one on the 14th out of the 8 under that took the gross with Pat Moore. Mick was also the anchor for Frank Riordan but they were nabbed by Valerie O’Leary and Noel Mac for the nett with a score of 8 under also to win the nett at 39.
Nice to see Gentleman John back on the course prepping for the bunny competition over the Easter Weekend. our John likes a bit of chocolate and rumour has it that he is determined to get some.
There was a large crowd on the course on Monday led by Tim Murphy, St Anne’s and Lakewood for the start of the over 55’s tour and while Frank and the gang provided the teas and bikkies, John P Murphy arrived with the iced buns which went down a treat. A great day was had by all and even the weather didn’t put a damper on the playing.
