Catherine and Frank hosted an enjoyable Captain’s day on Sat which drew a substantial crowd including some former members and familiar faces. Lots of food and beverages were provided and there was a large selection of prizes up for grabs. Ted Canty back after a sabbical helped Gretchen Ahern and Mick Lehane take home Gross while Frank, Bart & P J Curtin took overall Nett. George Bolton provided a morale boost to Steven Eneagues on his debut and also encouraged John Dineen to a higher performance to take 2nd Nett. Sunday morning Ted Canty was back in the Winners enclosure with Dan Shine as both had a magnificent score with 52pts while John Ahern and Mick Lehane took gross with 10 under par. New Years day saw a small turnout but J P Murphy was third time lucky back after a 3 year rest and partnered P J Curtin for the Nett while Bart Millard and Frank Riordan had the best Gross. Fourballs are back to normal and Club Membership is now due, New Members are most welcome.
