Saturday to quote Mary O’Donovan “treacherous conditions” prevailed but that didn’t deter the bravehearts or lunatics that showed up and played nor did it hinder Mary who was in superb form and who was partnered with John Ahern from winning the Nett in a V Par Strokeplay competition with an excellent score of 41.5 .The inform P J Curtin took the gross with Paddy Dennehy with one under to keep his winning streak at 5 in a row. The strong wind and the heavy downpour of rain made playing very difficult and the scoring under the circumstances was very good. Its rumoured that Mary is holding trials for a partner in the mixed foursomes for 2018 and the feedback was that she was very impressed with John Ahern which means that John Dineen will have to up his game to be in with a chance.

Sunday Afternoon Pat O’Keeffe and P J Curtin took the Nett with 7 under to Nett at 40. while John Dineen and Frank Riordan won the Gross with 6 under.
