P J Curtin is back to his winning ways, the change in the weather seems to suit P J better which is evidenced by his performance this week. Mary O’Donovan partnered him on Wed and they took the Nett with a superb 9 under to nett at 35 while Pat O’Keeffe joined them on Saturday and helped them to take Nett in the threeball competition. Frank Riordan and Paddy Dennehy took the Gross on Wednesday while the combination of Tim Linehan, Josie Twomey and John Dineen won the gross on Saturday with John’s hole in one on the 3rd making the difference. P J made it three in a row on Sunday Morning taking the Gross with Pat Moore in Stableford with two scores counting on the 6th and 10th while Bart Millard and Dan Shine were very comfortable winning the Nett with 56 points. A low turnout on Sunday Afternoon was anticipated with the most of the country glued to the Mayo and Dublin match which saw Dublin keeping Sam Maguire in the Capital for another year but as it was a beautiful afternoon there were a few that preferred the sun and fresh air to the television including Pat O’Keefe and Pat Moore who took the Nett while Pat Conway and John Dineen won the Gross. Fourballs continue on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 3pm and also on Sunday at 11am. Membership open for 2018 and the course is open to Green Fees. Congratulation to the Chairman, Frank Riordan and his wife Siobhan on the new addition to the family making it nine grandchildren with 8 granddaughters young Frank will surely be spoiled.
