The weekend saw some hardy members venture out in the bitter cold to bring home the Christmas Dinner. Pat O’Keeffe after being close over the past few weeks finally bagged the Bird along with Dan Shine who eventually got his SatNav fixed and with 48 points secured the overall nett. Mick O’Leary and PJ Curtin having already won their main meals gelled well together on Sunday morning and won the stars for their desserts with a magnificent 10 under.and took the overall gross in comfort. PJ had a practice run on the Saturday but fell short of the finish line which was put down to the eastern chill. No doubt but both will feature in the competition for the aperitifs in two weeks time.
