Mixed weather over the weekend with rain on Saturday but the sun came out on the Sunday which brought out the crowd. Bogey was the order of the day and with people’s handicaps cut it was wide open. Saturday a small number but Paddy Dennehy and John Dineen braving the elements returned a very healthy 10 up and 6 under. Unfortunately, it wasn’t good enough to take the overall nett as Alan Kenneally and Micky Ryan had a great round on Sunday with a score of 8 under and 11 up but with the numbers playing on the Sunday, they took the second nett. While 6 under was a very good score Niall Enright was the anchor to the Murphy’s, Eileen and Hubby Dermot and with 7 he took the gross with Eileen.
A mighty night in the Lakewood Bar on Friday for the Badminton Annual Quiz which saw a large turnout and was well supported by the other clubs.
Next weekend sees a return to Stroke and hopefully the weather will be good.
